President Yoweri Kaguta has this afternoon Wednesday met and held a jovial discussion with a famous American actor Mr. Terrence Howard who called on him at State house Nakasero.
His wife Christine Howard accompanied Terrence Howard and the two are in Ugandan to explore the beauty of the pearl of Africa. He will visit the countryside and explore Uganda’s magnificent high mountains, spectacular waterfalls, and gorgeous forests among others.
Mr. Howard is also looking for investment opportunities in the fields of technology. He says that he wants to start up a New Hydrogen technology in Uganda, which will be the first of its kind in Africa.
President Museveni welcomed them to Uganda and said he welcomes the idea of the New Technology. He pledged government’s support to have the idea a reality.
“You are most welcome to Uganda. Am happy about the initiative and I will give you land if you need it. People in the ministry should take you around and see where the project can best fit. We are ready on our side to work with you”. President Museveni said.
Mr. Terrence Howard a professional in Science and Technology revealed that he has been practicing his profession especially in the field of research at the same time doing film acting.
“Thank you for allowing to meet us, I want to develop a New Hydrogen technology in Uganda. The main purpose of the project is to defend the sovereignty of the country as technology is concerned” Mr. Howard said.
He commended President Museveni and government for their wise and exemplary leadership, which has helped the country to make positive strides.
Terrence Howard’s first major role in the 1995 films Dead Presidents and Mr. Holland’s Opus helped him break into the mainstream with a succession of television and Cinema roles between 2004 and 2006.
The meeting was attended by; Hon. Frank Tumwebaze, Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Joyce Ssebugwawo, State minister of Science and Technology, Amb. Abbey Walusimbi, Presidential advisor on Diaspora Affairs among others.
