KAWEMPE HOSPITAL RECEIVES MOBILE ULTRA SOUND SCAN MACHINE

Uganda National Services Bureau [URSB] donated a mobile ultra sound scan machine Kawempe National referral hospital in support of the government’s effort to improve maternal health and child health care. This came after observing an increase in number of women giving birth every day. More than 100 babies are being born in 24 hours Delivery Services in Kawempe hospital has been affected by inadequate medical equipment the patient to medical equipment ratio in the maternal and child health is low Therefore, supplementing on the existing equipment’s will improve service delivery by significantly reducing on the time patients spend in queues. Some of the leading causes of maternal death in Uganda are inadequate and frequent brake down of equipment hemorrhage, high blood pressure and infections that are preventable if detected early with the right equipment On the same note, some of the patients attest to the services offered at Kawempe referral hospital.
