Health budget proposals – CSOs push for increased funding for Primary Health Care

Civil Society organizations have underscored the need for increased budgetary allocation to the health sector to address ten thematic areas on health care delivery. There is inadequate human resources for health, stockouts of essential medicines, financing for primary health care and procurement and maintenance of health equipment. This comes at a time when Parliament is scrutinizing the budget for the financial year 2023/24.
