Setting up of a Trade Remedies Committee has been recommended as a lasting solution to the recurrence of trade disagreements in the East African Community Region. The recommendation comes in the wake of increased denial of goods access to some East African Member States including Uganda’s Milk to Kenya. East African Legislative Assembly Chapter Chairperson for Uganda George Odongo says the committee will facilitate implementation of the Non-tariff Barriers Act in all Member States.
