Ministry of Foreign Affairs joins the Africa Public Service Day celebrations at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs joined the rest of the Public Service in celebrating the Public Service Day on June 23, 2023. The theme for this year’s celebrations is “The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA) will require a fit for purpose African Public Administration to succeed “

During the event, UBC was crowned the champion of the Africa Public Service Day Tournament after an intense final match against the Statehouse team. The thrilling showdown took place at the Makerere play grounds in Kampala, where UBC showcased their exceptional skills and emerged victorious. Their remarkable performance not only demonstrated their sporting prowess but also highlighted their commitment to promoting teamwork and camaraderie within the public service sector.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recognized the contributions of Public servants in promoting growth, development, and public service delivery. The celebrations provided an opportunity to sensitize the public on the roles of public servants in achieving sustainable development goals.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Bagiire Vicent Waiswa , reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry to provide effective and efficient services to the public. He further emphasized the Ministry’s role in strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations to enhance Uganda’s image globally.
