Former Uganda Cranes star David Obua has been named as the new head coach of URA FC, as the club seeks to revive its fortunes in the StarTimes Premier League.
Obua’s contract with the tax collectors spans one year, and he brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role. This new development comes after the unfortunate passing of the club’s previous head coach, Sam Timbe.
Assisting Obua in his new role is Peter Byaruhanga Adyeri who will now serve as the first assistant coach, with Fred Muhumuza taking on the second assistant coach role. Robert Mukasa joins the coaching staff as the third assistant coach, while Ilic Milos will be responsible for fitness coaching.
Further enriching the team, Byron Okuba assumes the role of Strength and Conditioning Coach, while Swaibu Ssebagala has been appointed as the Goalkeeping Coach. The support staff includes Joseph Lubega as the team’s Doctor, Isaac Ngondwe as the Physio, and Luggya Ronald, who will manage the kits. Additionally, Bosco Otim has been named as the Assistant Kits Manager.
URA FC currently holds the seventh position in the StarTimes Premier League.
