Kenya and Uganda Committed to Strengthening Diplomatic and Economic

The President of the Republic of Uganda, Gen. (Rtd). Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has held a productive meeting with His Excellency, William Samoei Ruto, the President of the Republic of Kenya, this afternoon at his Kisozi farm.
The two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest between Uganda and Kenya.

His Excellency William Ruto emphasized the commitment of Kenya and Uganda to deepening their longstanding diplomatic and economic relations. The focus extends to fostering closer collaboration among all seven East African Community nations to achieve the shared goal of establishing the East African Political Federation.

During the meeting , critical issues affecting both countries, such as energy and petroleum, were discussed in depth.

Furthermore, attention was drawn to the declared candidacy of Kenya’s former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for the Africa Union Commission chairmanship, underscoring the importance of regional leadership roles.
