Censure Motion: Less than 10 Signatures Left to Hit Target Senior Legislators Shy Exercise

Some members of parliament have attributed the delay in reaching the target number of signatures required to censure the four parliamentary backbench commissioners to the fear of being eliminated from the list of designated members to sectoral committees, a process that has been postponed twice.

The mover of the motion, Theodore Ssekikuubo, Member of Parliament for Lwemiyaga, had hoped to complete the exercise by Tuesday, as he needed only a few more signatures. However, the number of those who boldly came forward to sign was still small.
