The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, met with a delegation from China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (NORINCO), led by Mr. Liang Hongda, General Manager of the African and American Department, this afternoon. The meeting occurred at the Special Forces Headquarters in Entebbe.
During the discussion, both parties reflected on their 38-year strategic partnership that commenced in 1986. Gen Kainerugaba, who also serves as the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, congratulated NORINCO on its status as the largest aerospace and defence company globally, with an annual revenue surpassing 82 billion dollars.
The Chinese delegation extended an invitation for Gen Kainerugaba to visit China, noting that his last visit was 14 years ago. Brig Gen Dan Kakono, Commander of the UPDF Artillery Division, also attended the meeting.
