The National Environment Authority has evicted 214 households and commercial buildings out of the 315 that were issued restoration orders on the Lubigi wetland.
Officials have been appearing before the Committee on Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises following the Speaker of Parliament’s directive for the committee to interface with them regarding the recent evictions conducted in the name of environmental protection and conservation.
