Joint Media Statement: Implementation of the Intelligent Transport Monitoring System Project

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD), in partnership with Exhibitions & Trade Services India Limited (ETSIPL) and the Uganda National Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Alliance (UNREEEA), is pleased to announce the second edition of the Power and Electricity Uganda International Expo 2024.

Scheduled from 11th to 13th July 2024 at the UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo, Kampala, this event aims to promote innovative technologies and foster sustainable collaborations in Uganda’s power sector. The expo will bring together key stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, manufacturers, and suppliers, to discuss and showcase advancements in the industry.

Highlighted by the “Power and Electricity Forum 2024” on 12th July, the expo will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and an exhibition tour. As part of Uganda’s Energy Transition Plan, the government is committed to improving energy efficiency, promoting electric mobility, and developing infrastructure for electric vehicle charging.

The event promises to be a pivotal platform for networking, partnership building, and exploring business opportunities within Uganda’s power sector.
