The National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U) is expanding the existing data centre to provide more computing and storage space for government systems. This will prevent the failure of one system from affecting other digital infrastructures within the government.
The Executive Director of NITA-U, Dr. Hatwib Mugasa, says the expansion aims to support ongoing initiatives, including the Uganda Digital Acceleration Project (UDAP), which seeks to connect all districts, sub-counties, and parishes.
