Uganda and Eswatini Strengthen Diplomatic and Economic Ties

Yesterday, His Majesty King Mswati III received Letters of Credence from H.E. Paul Amoru, the new High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda to the Kingdom of Eswatini, at the Lozitha Royal Palace. His Majesty assured the new High Commissioner of Eswatini’s support towards strengthening cooperation between their respective countries.

Ambassador Amoru conveyed warm regards from President Museveni to His Majesty, who in turn assured Uganda of Eswatini’s continued friendship and support. He expressed Uganda’s gratitude for Eswatini’s delegation’s presence at the recent NAM and G77 + China summits held in Kampala.

His Majesty congratulated Uganda for successfully hosting the summits, noting that the declaration made during the NAM Summit represented shared aspirations and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two nations.

Ambassador Amoru, accompanied by Honorary Consul Mr. Tobias Kamugisha, Mr. Richard Bob Opio from the Mission, and Mr. Andrew Mukiibi of Federal Foods, presented fresh Ugandan pineapples from Federal Foods to His Majesty. Ambassador Amoru pledged to focus on areas such as culture, tourism, agriculture, and trade.

Both Uganda and Eswatini are dedicated to establishing a Joint Permanent Commission and a Joint Business Forum to enhance their partnership. The shared goal is to achieve mutual growth and prosperity through collaborative efforts.
