The 3rd Edition of the Uganda-UAE Business Forum, an annual event organized by the Uganda Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Uganda Consulate General in Dubai, will be held from 28th to 31st October 2024 under the theme ‘Unlocking New Horizons: UAE-Uganda Partnership for Economic Prosperity.’
The forum aims to attract Foreign Direct Investment, promote Uganda’s exports to the UAE, encourage tourism, facilitate technology transfers, project a positive image of Uganda, and mobilize the Ugandan Diaspora in the UAE for development.
The first segment of the Forum, led by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce, will take place from 28th to 30th October 2024 at the St. Regis Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The second segment, organized by the Uganda Embassy and Consulate, will occur on 31st October 2024 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai.
The Forum aims to mobilize private and public investments in Uganda’s priority sectors by showcasing the country’s investment opportunities to UAE investors.
Targeted sectors include:
- Agriculture, agro-industrialization, and agribusiness.
- Energy, minerals, oil and gas, and renewable energy.
- Infrastructure, real estate, ICT, roads, rail, public transport, logistics, and real estate.
The official opening of the Uganda-UAE Business Forum will be presided over by Rt. Hon. Robina Nabbanja, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda.
