150 Ugandans Deported from UAE, Others Granted Amnesty Until December 31

About 150 Ugandan citizens who had been arrested and held in deportation prisons in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been deported back to Uganda, while others have been granted amnesty until December 31, 2024.

This was revealed by Esther Anyakun, the State Minister for Gender, Labor and Social Development in charge of Employment and Industrial Relations.
