The Uganda Embassy in Paris, in collaboration with UTB, UWA, and six private tourism companies, participated in the FITUR Expo in Madrid, Spain, held from January 22–26, 2025.
As part of the event, the Embassy organized a business-to-business breakfast meeting with 30 Spanish tour operators, featuring presentations on Uganda’s tourism potential, coffee industry, and investment opportunities.
FITUR (Feria Internacional de Turismo) Madrid is one of the world’s largest international tourism trade fairs, attracting 150,000 global outbound travel agents annually. It serves as a platform for industry professionals to network, exchange ideas, and showcase new tourism products and services.
The Embassy’s objectives at FITUR Madrid include promoting Uganda as a premier tourist destination, highlighting its unique cultural heritage and natural attractions, attracting investment in the tourism sector, and fostering bilateral tourism partnerships with Spain and other countries.
