Ebola Update – Ministry of Health Engages Tourism Industry on Current Health Situation

The Ministry of Health is actively managing the current health situation and has taken swift measures to contain its spread. As part of its response, the ministry has begun engaging stakeholders, starting with the tourism industry, to ensure coordinated efforts in safeguarding public health.

According to Ministry of Health spokesperson Emma Ainebyona, the government remains fully in control of the situation. “The Ministry of Health is on top of this situation. By today, over 234 contacts had been listed and are under follow-up,” he stated.

Ainebyona further confirmed that two contacts linked to the index case have tested positive and are already receiving treatment. The ministry continues to monitor all individuals under surveillance closely to prevent further transmission.

He also cautioned the public against misinformation, warning that some unscrupulous individuals may exploit the situation to spread fake news. “Beware, there are many people who take advantage of such incidents to mislead the public. We are here to provide factual information,” Ainebyona emphasized.

The Ministry of Health reassures the public that all necessary measures are in place to control the situation and urges continued vigilance in following health guidelines.
