The Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development wishes to inform the general public, all Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Local Governments, and Development Partners that, due to ongoing investigations into certain operations at the Treasury, some officers attached to the Accountant General’s Office (AGO) have been summoned and detained by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to facilitate the conclusion of the investigations.
The Ministry has extended full support to the investigating authorities and ensured that all the concerned officers fully cooperate as required.
The Ministry wishes to assure all stakeholders that its services, including those provided by the AGO, continue to operate normally.
