Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Commissioner General, John Rujoki Musinguzi, has launched the “Buuza Kamisona” tax education program at Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC). This initiative aims to enhance tax awareness and bring education closer to taxpayers.
The “Buuza Kamisona” program will air on UBC TV every Monday and Wednesday during news broadcasts, as well as on Sundays. Viewers can send their tax-related questions via WhatsApp or SMS to 0790141887, and the Commissioner General will personally respond to them during the program.
This platform will provide taxpayers with expert insights and clear explanations of their tax obligations, thereby promoting greater compliance and understanding.
The campaign seeks to empower taxpayers and strengthen tax administration efforts. By enhancing tax education and taxpayer services, URA aims to bridge the revenue gap and foster stronger partnerships with stakeholders.
The Commissioner General was received at UBC by Managing Director Winston Agaba, and a meeting was held with UBC management to discuss a strategic partnership.
