Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in southwestern Uganda, is one of only three places in the world where mountain gorilla trekking is possible. With only about 1,004 mountain gorillas left on the planet, Uganda is proud to be home to over half of this population. The country has successfully habituated 27 gorilla families, making them accessible for responsible tourism and conservation education.
