H.E. Prof. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda, Uganda’s High Commissioner to India, is currently leading a delegation of top Indian tour agents on a familiarization (FAM) trip to Uganda from 29th May to 7th June 2025.
This initiative follows Uganda’s successful debut at major Indian tourism expos Outbound Travel Market (OTM) in Mumbai and SATTE in New Delhi aimed at unlocking opportunities in the booming Indian travel market.
The FAM trip is one of several efforts by the High Commission to promote Uganda as a prime tourist destination, while supporting the country’s ambition to grow its economy from USD 50 billion to USD 500 billion by 2040.
With India projected to spend USD 410 billion on global travel by 2030, the visit offers a strategic opportunity for these experienced tour agents to explore Uganda’s tourism potential and build future partnerships.
