U.S. President Donald Trump has enacted a travel restriction targeting 12 nations, citing concerns over national security, according to an official statement from the White House.
In addition to the full travel bans, seven other countries will face limited entry constraints.
The countries subject to complete travel prohibitions include: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
Meanwhile, seven other nations will experience partial travel limitations. These include: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.
The move has drawn international attention, particularly due to the significant number of African countries affected, prompting concerns over the broader implications for diplomatic relations and mobility.
