The delegation also toured Konak Chocolate & Confectionery, a factory established in 1958, which exports its sweet products to 15 countries and imports cocoa powder from Ivory Coast.

The final visit was to AKONA Irrigation Systems, a key player in the agriculture sector since 1972. Now exporting to 34 countries, AKONA has grown into a major distributor of international agricultural equipment.

The visit marks a step forward in strengthening Uganda–Turkey industrial cooperation and promoting foreign direct investment into Uganda’s growing economy.
