Uganda Reaffirms Commitment to Global Cooperation at 19th NAM Midterm Meeting

The Government of Uganda is currently hosting the 19th Midterm Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) from October 13–16, 2025, at the Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala.

Held under the theme “Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence,” the senior ministerial meeting focuses on assessing the implementation of outcomes from the 19th NAM Summit (Kampala, January 2024) and strengthening cooperation among member states to foster global prosperity.

In his opening address, Gen. Jeje Odongo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, reaffirmed Uganda’s unwavering commitment to advancing the declarations and goals of the Movement, particularly in championing the interests of the Global South.

The meeting is expected to finalize key documents that will guide the NAM agenda in areas such as multilateral reform, sustainable development, and global peace.
