Uganda and Bangladesh Sign MoU to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, on the sidelines of the 19th NAM Ministerial Review Conference, yesterday afternoon 15/10/25 signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Consultations.

The purpose of the MoU is to further enhance friendly cooperative relations between the two countries and to increase bilateral cooperation in mutually agreed fields, including; political, economic, cultural and educational cooperation and to exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Under the terms of the MoU both parties agreed to hold Consultations regularly, at least once every two years, to review their bilateral relations and to exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest. at different levels alternately in Dhaka and in Kampala or at the Headquarters of the United Nations in New York, or Geneva, or at any other international forum as may be agreed upon through diplomatic channels.

The MoU was signed by Hon. John Mulimba Minister of State for Regional Affairs of the Republic of Uganda and H.E. Touhid Hossain, Foreign Advisor for Foreign Affairs of The Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh.
