UBOS Deploys 1,100 Field Officers for 2025 Baseline Education Census

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has deployed 1,100 Field Data Collectors to complete the 2025 Baseline Education Census, according to the Bureau’s Spokesperson, Mr. Didacus Okoth.

The exercise, which resumes following the end of the teachers’ strike, will cover sub-regions including Acholi, Bunyoro, Karamoja, Kigezi, Rwenzori, Tooro, and West Nile. Data collection runs from October 27 to 30, 2025, ahead of the Primary Seven examinations scheduled for November 4.

Mr. Okoth noted that the teams will visit all primary schools to gather information on learners, teachers, non-teaching staff, infrastructure, classrooms, laboratories, and sanitation facilities to update the Education Management Information System (EMIS).
