Fathers’ Union Visits Primary Schools in the Diocese of Kampala

The Fathers’ Union of All Saints’ Cathedral Kampala visited several primary schools within the Diocese of Kampala on 29 October 2025, to offer prayers, guidance, and words of encouragement to pupils preparing for their Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

As part of the outreach, the team presented mathematical sets as gifts to all the candidates they met, a symbolic gesture of support and love.

The visit was led by the Fathers’ Union Chairperson Mr. Gilbert Rutebemberwa, accompanied by Mr. Hannington Benue (former Chairperson), Mr. James Malunda, and Mr. Jason Tumugabe.

During the visit, the team also interacted with 36 “Feed My Lamb” children, a group sponsored by the Mothers’ Union and the Christian Women Fellowship (CWF) of the Diocese of Kampala.

The schools visited included: St. Nicholas Community School, Kalerwe, St. John’s Makerere Primary School, Kiwuliriza Primary School, Kisugu Primary School and selected children from Kiswa Primary School, sponsored by the Church of the Resurrection, Bugolobi

One of the core objectives of the Fathers’ Union is to build Godly, Christ-centred families. In the same spirit, the Union felt compelled to reach out to the young learners, to pray with them, share words of wisdom, and express the Church’s love in a tangible way.

This initiative reflects the Union’s corporate social responsibility and its continued commitment to nurturing Christian values within the community.
