Uganda’s advertising and creative professionals will converge in Kampala from November 10 to 15, 2025, for the Silverback Creative Week, a flagship industry event organized by the Uganda Advertising Association (UAA) in partnership with The Loeries. The program will open with the Young Silverback Competition from November 10 to 12 at the Next Conference Center in Naguru. The contest targets professionals under 30, challenging them to create marketing ideas within a limited time. Nicole Nyokabi, UAA Secretary General and Chairperson of the Silverback Awards Committee, said the competition offers mentorship, networking, and internship opportunities with leading agencies.

On Friday, November 14, the Communications Industry Symposium will take place at the same venue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature two tracks Visionaries and Professionals focusing on industry growth and skills development. Speakers will include Kin Kariisa (Next Media), Hilda Karamagi (Blue Edge Marketing), David Galukande (QG Group), Herbert Opio (Red Brick Consulting), Betty Mukami Njirain (Eskimi), Ayele Egbuson (CEMM Group), Irene Byarugaba (Reelanalytics), Ben Mwine (Next Media), Frank Fred Kumakech (Mobicast Media), Elizabeth Mutamuliza (Uganda Breweries), and Sandra Angaine (Crown Beverages).

The week will close with the Silverback Awards Gala on Saturday, November 15 at Golf Course Hotel.
