Hon. Oryem Henry Okello, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs), received H.E. Witjaksono Adji, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Kenya, who presented his credentials. The Ambassador expressed Indonesia’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Uganda in areas such as mineral development, education, and agricultural research.
Hon. Oryem welcomed the partnership, highlighting Uganda’s vast mineral potential and trade opportunities, and appreciated Indonesia’s scholarship initiatives for Ugandan students and civil servants.
He encouraged more Asian investors and visitors to explore Uganda’s opportunities and reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations through enhanced collaboration, including the establishment of a Joint Public Commission.
