Hon. Oryem Henry Okello, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs), held bilateral talks with H.E. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
H.E. Isarabhakdi congratulated Uganda on its NAM Chairmanship and commended its leadership in Africa, expressing Thailand’s commitment to revitalizing its Africa initiative and strengthening collaboration between both countries’ private sectors.
Hon. Oryem applauded Thailand’s NAM participation and proposed enhancing cooperation in investment, tourism, and training opportunities, including scholarships for Ugandan civil servants. He also invited Thai investors to explore opportunities in Uganda’s mineral sector and commercial diplomacy initiatives.
