Hon. Oryem Henry Okello, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs), held bilateral talks with H.E. Charles C. Jose, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines. 🇵🇭
H.E. Jose congratulated Uganda on the successful NAM Chairmanship and commended its efforts in keeping the Movement relevant. He appreciated Uganda’s support for the Philippines’ candidature to the UN Security Council (2027–2028) and pledged reciprocal support for Uganda’s future bids. He also noted that the Philippines would share a concept note with Uganda on labour and migration cooperation.
Hon. Oryem reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to strengthening NAM and leaving a lasting legacy.
