Overview of the Release of the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination Results

The Uganda National Examinations Board today releases the results of the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination, conducted nationwide in November 2025. This release marks the successful completion of a key national assessment carried out in accordance with UNEB’s statutory mandate.

The examination process was implemented amidst challenging weather conditions, rising candidature, and increased operational costs, yet was concluded effectively through the dedication of education stakeholders. The results indicate improved performance at the top grade level, stable absenteeism, and continued progress in learner transition to post-primary education.

The Board also presents key findings from learner competency analysis, examination integrity measures, and emerging challenges, alongside appeals for policy and financial support to strengthen assessment systems.
