Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) has announced a partnership with Corporate Games Uganda following a launch and memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held at the UBC headquarters in Kampala.
Under the partnership, UBC will serve as the official media partner for the upcoming Corporate Games season, providing coverage of corporate sports activities, workplace wellness initiatives and community engagement programmes across the country.
Speaking on behalf of UBC Managing Director Mr. Winston Agaba David, the Head of Sales, Mr. Alfred Rwabugahya, said sports play an important role in institutional settings.
“Sports activities are essential for promoting physical and mental well-being among employees,” Rwabugahya said. “At UBC, we are committed to providing our staff with fitness opportunities that enable them to perform their duties effectively while maintaining good health.”

He added that the Corporate Games also offer valuable networking opportunities, strengthening professional relationships, encouraging collaboration among institutions and contributing to organisational growth.
The launch event brought together UBC senior management, team managers from participating organisations and organisers of the Corporate Games Uganda for a strategic planning session ahead of the new season.

The Chairman of Corporate Games Uganda and CEO of Node Group Ian Rumanyika, welcomed the partnership and described the games as an important platform for promoting teamwork and healthy lifestyles in the corporate sector. He thanked UBC for the support and said feedback from the meeting is being incorporated into the season’s activity calendar and operational plans.
Organisers said registration remains open for additional teams and organisations interested in joining the Corporate Games. New participants are being invited to compete, showcase their talents and become part of Uganda’s growing corporate sports community.
