Government Launches Food Security and Nutrition Assessment Reports

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has presided over the launch of the Food Security and Nutrition Assessment Reports, which highlight food security and nutritional challenges affecting parts of Uganda and propose interventions to address them.

The launch was held alongside Ministers John Baptist Lokii, Lillian Aber and Esther Anyakun, representatives of United Nations agencies and other development partners.

The reports identify factors driving food insecurity and nutritional challenges in affected areas and outline possible interventions to improve food security and nutrition.

The assessment is expected to provide information to guide stakeholders in identifying priority areas and developing appropriate responses to the challenges highlighted in the reports.

The launch brings together government institutions, UN agencies and development partners in efforts to address food security and nutrition concerns across the country.
