The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) conducted the National Population and Housing Census in May 2024. The preliminary results indicated a total population of 45.9 million people.
The Bureau wishes ot inform the general public that the final results for the National Population and Housing Census is now ready and it will be disseminated on Thursday 3rd October 2024. This is in line with the Census Roadmap and it is also hinged on the promise made by the Census Commissioner at the launch of the Preliminary Results on the 27th of June 2024.
The Public should expect to receive the latest statistical information about Uganda’s demographics, housing patterns, and socioeconomic conditions. In addition, the result will provide detailed answers to the five Census questions which include; 1. How many we are 2. Where we are 3. How we are living 4. What we own and 5. Where we access services from.
There will be a panel discussion to further digest the findings of Census 2024. The Bureau has identified expert panelists to share ideas, understanding and deeper appreciation of the Census findings.
The event will be held at Kampala Serena Hotel and will be streamed live on Television, Radio and Social Media Platforms to provide equal access to information by all Ugandans.
