The NRM Deputy Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Namayanja Rose Nsereko, has reiterated the government’s dedication to empowering youth and women in securing household food stability.
Addressing the Youth and Women in Agro Systems pavilion during last week’s Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) conference in Munyonyo, Namayanja highlighted initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga, which enhance financial access and provide markets for agricultural products.
Namayanja underscored the significance of utilizing cost-effective technology for agricultural value addition. She remarked, “Our focus is on fostering resilience and cohesion, acknowledging agriculture as not just a source of income but a cornerstone for building a thriving and inclusive Africa. Achieving this demands cross-sectoral and international cooperation.”
