World Government Summit 2025 , 11–13 February 2025

Since its inception in 2013, the World Government Summit (WGS) has been dedicated to shaping the future of governance and creating a better future for humanity.

WGS 2025, held under the theme “Shaping Future Governments,” brought together governments, international organizations, and thought leaders from over 140 countries to foster international cooperation, identify innovative solutions for future challenges, and inspire the next generation.

This year’s Summit featured a mix of sessions, panel discussions, and roundtable formats. The key thematic conversations focused on:

i) Foresight of Future Governments
ii) Global Economy and Effective Governance
iii) Resilient Cities and Climate
iv) Future of Humanity and Capacity Development
v) Global Health Transformations
vi) Future Prospects and Innovations

Uganda’s delegation was led by Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja and included the following ministers:

  1. Hon. Muruli Mukasa – Minister of Public Service
  2. Hon. Oryem Henry Okello – Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (International Affairs)
  3. Hon. Justice Lumumba – Minister for General Duties, Office of the Prime Minister (OPM)
  4. Hon. Beatrice Anywar – Minister of State for Water & Environment
  5. Hon. Lilian Aber – Minister of State for Relief, Disaster Preparedness, and Refugees
