The Minister of State for Trade, Hon. Gen. Mbasu Mbadi, accompanied by Uganda’s Ambassador to Japan, H.E. Tophace Kaahwa, visited the Uganda product promotion venue at Lucua Business Center in Osaka City today to acquaint himself with the various activities being undertaken to show-case Uganda’s products and attract market interest from Japan.
The event, organized by the Uganda Mission in Tokyo as part of enhanced country program activities for Uganda during the Osaka 2025 World Expo, leads into the Uganda-Japan Investment Forum, scheduled for tomorrow, 19th June 2025, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Osaka. Hon. Mbadi is in Osaka to attend a Uganda-Japan Trade and Investment Forum organized by the Embassy.
Various Brands of Ugandan coffee, and the iconic Uganda Waragi, Chocolate made from Ugandan cocoa, and dried fruits are among the products being promoted—alongside recorded and live Ugandan music performances to highlight the country’s rich culture and tourism potential.
