The Ministry of Works & Transport engaged road safety stakeholders (including civil society bodies) at the Namanve Motor Vehicle Inspection Facility on the upcoming mandatory vehicle inspection.
The Commissioner for Transport Regulation & Safety, Mr. Winstone Katushabe, and his team demonstrated the automated inspection processes covering brakes, suspension, lighting systems, and more.
The rollout will begin with Government of Uganda vehicles, and the Ministry has prioritized sensitization of stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption before full implementation.”
