Lands Minister Nabakooba Highlights Opportunities In The Land Sector Calls On Ugandans In Diaspora To Invest In Real Estate.
The Minister of Lands Housing and urban development Hon Judith Nabakooba called upon Ugandans in the diaspora to invest the real estate sector noting that there are many opportunities available and the sub sector was the fastest growing sectors contributing 7.5 % to the National GDP and a key growth driver of the Ugandan economy.
“This sector has significant linkages with several other productive sectors of the economy. Market analysts project that the construction industry will grow by an average annual rate of 8.1% in real terms over the coming 10 years.
Real Estate business has been growing at a fast rate although the demand for decent housing has remained higher than supply. This is why I encourage all of you to come into our beautiful country and invest in housing,” Nabakooba told the delegates .
