Minister for information and National Guidance Dr. Chris Baryomunsi has bashed social media users for misleading Ugandans against vaccinating children.
His warning comes after some media pessimist publishing false information against the Covid -19 vaccine.
About 2.6 million people on social media who most of them keep posting negativity against government programs.
Minister Baryomunsi called them Infodemics and enemies of progress.
“Everybody pretends to know even when he or she doesn’t know, that’s the problem. I see especially with social media, someone goes on social media and writes the science of the vaccine without any clear details . People spread a lot of information which can be misleading people.” Baryomunsi said.
“But vaccines go through a process before they can be allowed to be tried on individuals,” he added.
