The slow development and transformation of countries on the African continent have been attributed to the lack of reconciliation, patriotism and humanism by the political and technical elites.

Speaking during the annual Nelson Mandela memorial lecture at Makerere University central teaching facility, the international consultant on economic transformation Prof. Augustus Nuwagaba expressed the need the elites to galvanize through educational ideas and fight oppression.
