Health experts have cautioned the public about the risks associated with self-medication and the improper use of antimicrobial drugs. The Tropical Health and Education Trust has launched the second phase of the Commonwealth Partnerships for Antimicrobial Stewardship, aiming to raise awareness among communities. The public health campaign by the Tropical Health and Education Trust will adopt a multi-sectoral approach to address antimicrobial resistance. Antimicrobial drugs are essential for preventing and treating infections in humans, animals, and plants, protecting them from bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.
