Tragic Incident Shocks Uganda’s Tourism: Tourists and Guide Brutally Attacked

Yesterday, Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) reported a horrifying incident at Nyamunuka along Katwe Road. Two tourists and their guide, traveling under Gorilla and Wildlife Safaris, fell victim to unknown assailants who brutally attacked and killed them, later setting their vehicle ablaze. The victims, whose identities have been withheld, included a Ugandan citizen, a UK national, and a South African citizen.

UWA has promptly engaged the Uganda Police Force and other security agencies to meticulously investigate the incident and determine the precise chain of events. The safety of tourists in Uganda’s protected areas remains a top priority for UWA.
