The Minister of State for Investment and Privatization, Evelyn Anite, recently launched a fresh effort to save millions of shillings lost in the development of Kampala Industrial Park in Namanve.
She stated that the corrupt individuals have high-level connections and present an innocent face to the President, but she hastened to add that she will not be bullied in her policy role of helping the President fight them.
Minister Anite is displeased with the payments disguised as honoraria to selected UIA staff, including the Director General. According to UIA officials, the payments were part of the UIA Human Resource procedure.
