The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, highlighted the significance of ideological training in shaping regional and national leaders at various levels.
She delivered these remarks today while addressing youth and women leaders from Greater Masaka, who are participating in an ideological empowerment retreat at Sacred Hearts Primary School, Kyamusansala, in Kalungu District.
Rt. Hon. Nabbanja encouraged the leaders to cultivate a spirit of patriotism, stating that “love for one’s country is embedded in the Constitution,” and that all citizens must remain committed to Uganda’s progress and prosperity.
“Uganda is celebrated as the Pearl of Africa due to its breathtaking beauty and rich natural resources,” she reminded the participants, emphasizing their responsibility to safeguard the nation.
The Prime Minister urged the leaders to apply the principles and values imparted to them during the retreat in their leadership roles.
She also extended her appreciation to the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs/Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces leadership for organizing the ideological retreat.
