The Parliamentary Committee on HIV/AIDS has begun a two-day induction aimed at strengthening Members’ understanding of Uganda’s HIV/AIDS response and the challenges affecting prevention, treatment and care.
The induction is being held at Kampala Nile Resort and brings Members together to examine emerging trends in the HIV/AIDS response and identify key policy gaps requiring parliamentary attention.

The engagement is also intended to strengthen the Committee’s capacity to effectively carry out its legislative and oversight responsibilities while advocating for improved services for people living with HIV.
Members are expected to gain a deeper understanding of existing HIV/AIDS programmes and the areas requiring greater policy intervention to improve prevention, treatment and support across the country.
