Uganda has affirmed its full preparedness to host the 15th Edition of the East African Community (EAC) Inter-Parliamentary Games, with major logistical, medical, and venue arrangements finalized ahead of the December kickoff.
The Local Organizing Committee (LOC), chaired by Bugiri Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon. Asuman Basalirwa, revealed that all primary venues have been inspected and cleared, medical partnerships confirmed, and hospitality logistics concluded.
โWe are fully set to welcome East Africa. Uganda is ready in both infrastructure and spirit โ and we eagerly anticipate hosting our brothers and sisters from across the region. The list of designated hotels for delegatesโ accommodation has been finalized and shared,โ Hon. Basalirwa said during a press briefing on Monday, November 3, 2025.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from December 5โ17, 2025, at various venues across Kampala, including Philip Omondi Stadium (Lugogo), Hams Stadium, Wankulukuku Stadium, Kyambogo University, Makerere University, and Namboole Stadium. Golf competitions will be hosted at Kampala Golf Club and Serena Golf Resort in Kigo.

The committee also confirmed medical readiness, noting partnerships with Kampala Hospital, Nakasero Hospital, Aga Khan Hospital, and International Hospital Kampala (IHK), with Mulago and Nsambya Hospitals expected to join the network.
โThese hospitals have agreed to work closely with us in delivering medical support throughout the games,โ Hon. Basalirwa stated.
All fixtures will be released soon, and entry to all events will be free a gesture EAC legislators say is aimed at encouraging public participation and community engagement.
Ugandaโs Parliament, the defending champion, has expressed confidence in retaining its title. โWe cannot afford to lose on home ground. Even with the busy national electoral schedule, our teams are training intensively to maintain our dominance,โ Basalirwa assured.
Delegations from Kenya, South Sudan, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) have confirmed full participation under the theme โOne Region, One Community: Advancing Integration through Parliaments and Sports.โ
Kenyaโs representative, Hon. Vincent Kawaya, announced that both the National Assembly and Senate will field teams across all eight sporting disciplines.
โWe intend to collect as many trophies as we can though what matters most is the unity these games promote. We also commend Uganda for its excellent organization,โ he remarked.
South Sudanโs delegation also applauded Uganda for its high level of preparedness and confirmed participation in all events.
The EALA Secretariat encouraged East Africans to turn up in large numbers, emphasizing that the games are โa peopleโs eventโ that play a key role in strengthening regional cooperation and integration.
