How to Customize The Default Custom Paper Sizes in Microsoft Word
Adobe software like Dreamweaver may require you to specify the size of paper for certain documents or forms. You can alter the default printer used to print documents in Windows 10 by going to the custom page control and clicking on the arrow that is next to the print button. Visit the page setup window to alter your page’s configuration, often called page coordinates. There will be a slider for the layout of your page. This allows you to alter and move the page layout. You can move the slider to one side of the screen, and change the custom sizes there. You can also move it to the opposite side of the screen. In either case, the custom sizes will be changed.
Go to the device manager to modify the driver of your printer. Check the section that is related to your printer, and click on the printer to display the driver for it. You will see many different printers listed in the list. Some printers won’t display a driver because they’re not up-to-date or their drivers are corrupted. Other drivers, such as your Microsoft driver should be displayed in this section.
Once you have identified the device used by your application, take a look at the print server properties. The print server properties column will display the custom paper sizes that are available. Often, you can choose one of the options, for instance “small”, “wide” and “normal”. In some instances, you will be unable to change the custom paper sizes there. If you are unable to select a custom paper size here, go to the print menu and alter the default size.
Click on the “sets” button next to “new size” in the print menu. Click on the button to change the size. The button is usually at the bottom of the screen. Click OK to proceed to the next step if you find it there.
Once you have successfully set the custom paper sizes, you can go ahead and save this change. The new size will be saved in the driver for your printer. It is necessary to connect this driver to the printer to confirm that the application has been installed. If you’ve already restarted the application, make sure that the new size has been saved prior proceeding.
