THE VC OF KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY PROF.ELI KATUGUNKA ADDRESSES THE PRESS ABOUT THE CURRENT STATE OF THE UNIVERSITY AND ICT

Vice Chancellor of Kyambogo University Prof. Eli Katugunka together with the Director of ICT Dr. John Okonzi addressed the press about the current state of the University and ICT.

This was through a conference held in the University Council Room.

Prof. Eli Katunguka zeroed his focus on the issue of examination malpractice as he alleged that many students tend to believe that cheating examinations is okay until they are caught.

This follows the fact that examinations are expected to begin on Monday 5th September 2022.

“Some students refuse to carry either a national identity card or Student identity card to the examination room because they want to impersonate and carry out other examination malpractice kinds without being identified. However, whoever won’t have an identity card will not be allowed into the examination room,” the Vice Chancellor stressed.

“We plan to install CCTV cameras in larger examination rooms to capture those students who chew evidence in form of chits after they have been caught cheating,” the Director of ICT added.

Still regarding the issue of examinations, the Vice Chancellor emphasized that students who have not cleared all dues up to zero balance will not be allowed to sit examinations.
